Hi, I’m Patti Nyman and I run this blog. I’m currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social and Political Thought at York University in Toronto, Canada. I also hold a Master’s Degree in the same field and an undergraduate degree in philosophy and interdisciplinary social science. During my career as a graduate student, I’ve been teaching undergraduate social science courses at York University with an activist agenda aimed at hopefully inspiring emancipatory social change.
My book Why Veganism: An Introduction was recently published by Vegan Publishers. Check it out here!
As a writer and activist, I regularly contribute to One Green Planet, do some leafleting for Vegan Outreach, and just finished spending some time at Animal Place as an advocacy intern in their education department. I also can’t get enough of my two rescue cats and rabbit, and love cycling, yoga, acoustic guitar playing, and vegan cooking.
Dear World is my way of sharing ideas for creating a better world.
Thanks for stopping by!
